Q: What is the "HSJH Annual Washington D.C. Trip?"

Answer:  Every year Hamilton Southeastern Junior High organizes a trip that takes the 8th graders on an amazing adventure to our nation's capital in Washington D.C.!  The trip always takes place over President's Day Weekend in February.  To put it simply, this trip is awesome!  This really is a once in a life time opportunity.  By 8th grade, students have reached the perfect age to really appreciate the amazing things there are to see and do at our nation’s capitol.  We pace this trip to rival even the typical junior high age attention span.  Students will get to see a plethora of things in person that they can only talk about in the classroom.  The memories the students make on this trip will last a lifetime.  We have teacher chaperones that went on the DC trip when they were in junior high and to this day they still remember the great things they learned and saw.  The trip is by no means required, especially given its extensive cost.  However, with numerous fundraisers and scholarship opportunities every student could possibly go on this trip with a little extra work.  For more info about the trip please go to our Google Drive!
