All high school students trying out to be a counselor:  There will be a mandatory Call-out meeting at the beginning of May in the HIJH Auditeria.  Listen to your announcements for the specific date and time or check in our Google Drive link below.  At this meeting we will discuss counselor requirements and mandatory training dates.  Bring your calendar and something to write with.  At this meeting you will also be signing up for an interview time.  The 15 minute interviews take place in early May.  If you can not make it to the call out meeting, have a friend sign you up for an interview time.  See the "If I WANT TO BE a Counselor what do I need to know?" section below for more info.

ONCE YOUR ARE A COUNSELOR: ALL Counselors will be required to attend the mandatory training meetings throughout September.  Rookie Counselors will need to also attend a Sunday training session that will take place at Camp Tecumseh .  For all meetings, go to the HIJH auditeria.  Its best to park in the bus parking lot and come in door #14.  If you have any questions email Mr. Libey (jlibey@hse.k12.in.us ) or Mr. Brown (ebrown@hse.k12.in.us )

If I WANT TO BE a Counselor what do I need to know?:

You must attend the MANDATORY call out meeting in May to hear all the requirements for this year's trip and to sign up for an interview time.  Below is a link to our Google Drive where you will find a handout with general information about being a counselor as well as an interview form handed out at the MANDATORY meeting.  You need to fill it out the interview form and bring it to your interview.

If I AM a ROOKIE Counselor what do I need to know?

  Congrats!  As you will soon know, being a Camp T counselor is one of the most rewarding things you will do during your 4 years in high school.  Just ask any of our veterans.  Your next steps will be to get ready for the trip.  As you were made aware at your interview, you will have mandatory training dates that you will need to attend.  Make sure you attend all of these and be prepared!  We will be collecting your counselor fee and medical/permission slip form at the first meeting so please have it ready.  Below is a like to our Google Drive where you will find important documents like the Medical Release Form, T-shirt order form and reminders of important dates.

If I AM a VETERAN Counselor what do I need to know?

Great to have you back!  You should know the drill by now.  Most of the documents you will need will be posted in the Google Drive (see the link below.)  Seniors who are counselors for the 3rd year in a row will be running the September training sessions so please make sure you know when and where you need to be to prepare for those.  Thanks for all your hard work and I can't wait for another great year at Camp T!
